Built to be usable by everyone.
Built to be usable by everyone.
What we do, the standard we aim for, and how to reach us if something's in your way.
Our commitment
CHC Calendars is meant to work for every Compass Health Consultants member and guest, including people who rely on keyboards, screen readers, magnification, or high-contrast settings. Accessibility is treated as part of the product, not an afterthought.
The standard we design against
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. New features are checked against it as they’re built — color pairs are contrast-tested before they ship, and interactive elements are verified to work without a mouse.
What that looks like here
A skip-to-content link is the first thing keyboard users reach on every page. Every interactive element shows a visible focus ring when reached by keyboard. Text colors are chosen to meet AA contrast in both light and dark themes. Pages use a single main heading with a logical heading structure underneath, and controls carry descriptive labels for assistive technology. Pinch-zoom and text scaling are never blocked, on any device.
Known limits
Some third-party content shown inside the calendar — for example meeting descriptions written elsewhere, or joined video-call services — is authored outside this app and may not meet the same bar. Where we can, we normalize it; where we can’t, we’re honest that it’s outside our control.
Found a barrier?
Tell us and it gets fixed. Use the feedback lightbulb inside the app, or email the address below. Include what you were trying to do and what got in the way — screenshots or the device/assistive technology you were using help us reproduce it quickly.
